Whitefish Montana proved to be a cute little town that
maintains that small town friendliness and feel. It is easy to
feel right at home here at any time of year. Though it has grown
immensely since I first arrived in MT, it is still a great place to live & visit.
One of the main attractions to this city of course has to be the Big Mountain Ski Resort which has recently changed it's name to the Whitefish Mountain Resort in honor of the laid back ski town of Whitefish. For more information on Whitefish please visit the Whitefish Visitors Bureau.
The Whitefish Mountain Resort is only 31 miles away from the world famous Glacier National Park which has more than 700 mountain lakes, 26 glaciers, 1,000 species of plant life, grizzly and black bears, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, moose, deer and more.
The Great Northern Railway was built through what is now Whitefish in 1904, which sparked development of the town.
